(more...)

mercedes.jpg What happens when you add a dash of Google or Yahoo! to a well thought-out recipe of Mercedes-Benz? You get a most modern flavor on your plate - the Mercedes-Benz 'Search & Send' option. It is a new and convenient way to plan your trip destinations ahead of time. Using the popular Yahoo!Local Maps and Google Maps web sites from the comfort of your home or office computer, you can search for a destination online, then send it right to your Mercedes-Benz. Once you're in your vehicle, simply push the i-button and your destination will be downloaded directly to the vehicle's navigation system via your Mercedes-Benz Tele Aid System. Voila! You can immediately start the route guidance or else save the information for later use in your navigation memory. Instead of spending time inputting data into your navigation system, your destinations will be available whenever you need them. By introducing Search & Send in the U.S., Mercedes has set a new challenge for its competitors. It will be available on the Mercedes S-class sedan and CL-class coupe as of September 5 and the entire 2008 C-class lineup. Via - Luxurylaunches

A carrot on a string is surely a hell of a lot cheaper than years of gas, but we're only getting behind Fleethorse's Naturcar, Naturtaxi, Naturvan, and Naturbus if they can tend to the unfortunate matter of not what goes into the horse, but what comes out.
